Naam Nidhi is a devotional Naam Jap tracking application. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you create and use a Naam Nidhi account, we may collect:

• Account and contact information, including your name, username, email address, mobile number, preferred language, and optional city.
• Devotional preferences, including your selected Naam Jap and Samarpan preference.
• App activity you choose to record, including Naam Jap counts, Naam Jap Daan entries, notes, and history.
• Support messages and account-deletion requests submitted by you.
• Notification preferences, device push tokens, and notification delivery records.
• Limited app-usage and reliability events through Firebase Analytics. We do not intentionally send your password or the text of your private devotional entries to analytics.

How we use information

• Create, secure, and manage your account.
• Maintain your Naam Jap balance, history, preferences, and devotional features.
• Send reminders and service notifications when you enable them.
• Respond to support and account-deletion requests.
• Protect the service from abuse and improve reliability and usability.

Passwords and Privacy Mode

Passwords are stored in hashed form and are not stored as plain text. Privacy Mode hides Naam Jap counts in the app interface; it does not delete or separately encrypt the underlying records needed to maintain your balance and history.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to operate Naam Nidhi, including Vercel for backend hosting, Supabase for the PostgreSQL database, and Google Firebase for Cloud Messaging and limited analytics. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or to prevent misuse.

Data security and retention

We use HTTPS in transit, access controls, database protections, hashed passwords, and secure device storage for session information. No digital system can be guaranteed completely secure. We retain account data while your account is active and for only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Your choices

You can update profile and notification preferences inside the app. You may request deletion of your account and associated data through Settings in the app or through our public Account Deletion page.

Children's use

Naam Nidhi is a general devotional tracking app and is not specifically directed to children. A child should use it only with the guidance of a parent or guardian.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The latest version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
